Liverpool finished the 2018-19 campaign in second place after falling one point short of Manchester City.
Klopp’s men have bounced back this season by securing their first league title in 30 years.
Speaking to Jamie Carragher on Sky Sports, Salah revealed how he felt in the dressing room after the 0-0 draw with United in February.
He said: “I remember last year against Man United away where we drew, I went into the dressing room and started to cry.
“That was the moment I felt we lost the Premier League.”
Discussing his team’s achievements this season, he added: “It’s great, winning the Premier League after a long time. Unbelievable.”
Liverpool secured the title this season after Chelsea’s win over City put them out of reach.
Salah continued: “It is unbelievable to win it this time having lost it by one point last year.
“The first time we felt we could win it [this season] was when we beat City.
“Then a few games like Leicester at home, we knew mentally it is our season.
“We didn’t have that luck last season.”
