Mike Tyson offered huge £16.2m to brawl in brutal bare knuckle boxing match as 53-year-old is flooded with fight offers

MIKE TYSON has been offered a massive £16.2million to make his comeback in a bare knuckle boxing fight.

Iron Mike has been inundated with offers since footage of him hitting pads at the age of 53 went viral online.

The former heavyweight champ showed mindblowing speed and ferocity – and his trainer warned he has the power to kill somebody in the ring.

He has been offered $1m to fight New Zealand rugby icon and World Cup winner Sonny Bill Williams – while also being linked with a rematch against Danny Williams.

But it is away from the regulated world of traditional boxing that Tyson – whose biggest payday at his peak was around £24m – could now pick up his biggest cheque.

The Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship president David Feldman says he is willing to give the controversial star more than £16m to fight in the BKFC.

Such a figure seems fanciful given the financial precipice the world is standing on in light of the coronavirus pandemic.

But Feldman wants to make it happen so much, he will even let The Baddest Man on the Planet pick his opponent.

He told Heavy: “While we did make a guaranteed offer of $20 million for Mike to fight for BKFC, we’re open to many different options as to how we can work together.

“Obviously, the excitement of seeing Mike’s video showing himself training and desire to participate in exhibitions inspired us to reach out and make the offer.”

Tyson recently announced his comeback would be in a series of four-round charity fights, after last competing in June 2005.

Bare knuckle would be different though, with each scrap lasting 10 minutes in its entirety.

That means, should he take it up, Tyson would have a shorter workload than four rounds of three minutes inside a ring.

Shannon Briggs recently said he could partner Tyson in a tag team boxing match against the Klitschko brothers.

But it turns out Briggs, 48, is signed to BKFC, so he could be a bare knuckle opponent for Tyson.

Another is former UFC star Hector Lombard. The 42-year-old has already won bare knuckle fights and at 5ft 9ins is closer in height to Tyson than 5ft 11ins Briggs.
