Mount produced a sensational ball for Callum Hudson-Odoi to fire the Blues into the lead in France.

Former Chelsea playmaker Fabregas was hugely impressed with the pass and congratulated the England midfielder on Twitter.

Mount responded with his appreciation for Fabregas’ comments before admitting he had been learning from the old master.

His assist helped Chelsea clinch their spot in the knockout stage of the Champions League with two games to spare.

Mount’s form this season has helped Chelsea into third place in the Premier League and within two points of top spot.

The rising star has provided two assists and scored once in eight league appearances this season.

The 21-year-old is a regular feature in Frank Lampard’s team and also firmly established in Gareth Southgate’s England squad.

Fabregas was renowned for setting up goals at Stamford Bridge and it is clear Mount has learned from the former Spain international.

The Spanish maestro left Chelsea last year with one of the best assist records in Premier League history.

Chelsea will be hoping for more stunning deliveries from Mount this season as they push for the title.
