MARIO BALOTELLI started 2020 in typically bumpy fashion after being involved in a car accident at 6am on New Year’s Day.
The Italian striker was in the passenger seat of a silver Fiat 500 Abarth when it crashed into the gate of a bakery in northern Brescia.

A friend of the player was reportedly driving the vehicle after an evening celebrating the new year in a nightclub.
It is said to have bounced off the kerb before rolling into the gate.
Neither man inside the car was hurt and Balotelli completed his journey to his house in nearby Mompiano on foot before heading to bed.
However the Fiat was worse for wear with a broken front axle.
Images of the car showed both wheels caved in but with no other significant damage.
Balotelli, 29, rejoined Brescia in the summer in what was billed as a heroic return to the city he grew up in.

The newly-promoted side’s expected battle with relegation and off-the-field racism issues have made for a far from simple time for the striker.
An equaliser off the bench away to Parma last time out helped Brescia move to within a point of safety and counted as Balotelli’s fourth of the season.
Currently on their winter break, the Lombardy club aren’t back in action until Sunday when Lazio come to Stadio Mario Rigamonti.
