MANCHESTER UNITED are hoping to sign Donny van de Beek and two others before the end of the transfer window, according to reports.
The Red Devils are still yet to sign anyone this summer, despite boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer having outlined the importance of the market.

Earlier this summer, the Norwegian said: “There’s definitely not going to be any complacency and thinking, ‘We’ve cracked it’ because we’ve got so much to do. It’s an enjoyable journey.
“We can see improvements but, yes, we need to make one or two – or more – very good decisions. It’s going to be an important summer, definitely.”
According to the Star Solskjaer, 47, has “personally intervened” in a bid to try and sign Van de Beek this summer.
But the Dutchman is “desperate” to join Real Madrid, in a blow to United’s hopes.
With Ajax valuing the 23-year-old at around £40-50million, however, the Red Devils could still have some hope – with Madrid having declared that they will not make any big signings this summer.
After being crowned LaLiga champions, club president Florentino Perez said: “No [there won’t be big signings this summer].
“The situation is really bad. It’s hard to ask the players to take a pay cut to help deal with it and then make signings. That can wait.
“Madrid will sign the best again when the situation changes.”
Even if they can recruit Van de Beek, United’s spending would be unlikely to stop there.

Solskjaer still wants a centre-back and a right winger before the end of the window.
Jadon Sancho has been their No1 target all summer – although with Borussia Dortmund playing hardball a deal looks difficult.
United were also interested in Gabriel Magalhaes, although have been beaten to the Lille centre-back by Arsenal.
