CHRIS SMALLING arrived at Carrington this morning to train alone as he hopes to seal his move away from Manchester United.
The England international is desperate to rejoin AS Roma in the coming weeks, having enjoyed a successful loan spell in the Italian capital last season.

United are digging their heels in, however, as they continue to demand £20million for the wantaway defender.
And SunSport understands that Smalling, 30, arrived at Carrington before 8am this morning in order to train away from the rest of the first-team.
The 31-cap defender didn’t appear in Monday’s photoshoot, as United stars posed for the TV cameras ahead of the upcoming season.
According to the Mail, however, with two years remaining on his contract Smalling may end up stuck at United – with frustrated Roma considering “alternative options” at centre-back.
The two clubs have been locked in negotiations all summer, with Roma having not even been able to get Smalling back to play in the resumed Europa League last month.
At the time, the defender tweeted that he was “gutted”.
He wrote: “I’m gutted that I can’t finish what we started this season.
“To experience the love shown to me in such a short time was extra special and it will not be forgotten.

“I want to thank and wish all the players and staff the best of luck against Sevilla. DAJE ROMA!”
Another to arrive early in order to train alone at Carrington was fellow out-of-favour defender Marcos Rojo.
The Argentine, 30, joined Estudiantes on loan back in January, but with no permanent move forthcoming he could also be stuck at United for the final year of his contract.
