MANCHESTER UNITED defender Axel Tuanzebe has lifted the lid on what boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer told him before the club went into coronavirus lockdown.
The 22-year-old forced himself into the Norwegian’s first-team plans this season following his impressive loan spell at Aston Villa last campaign where he helped the club win promotion.

Before he suffered a hamstring injury towards the end of 2019, Tuanzebe had featured in 11 games in all competitions.
And he was even given a standing ovation from the United faithful when he captained the side during their League Cup third round victory against Rochdale.
Tuanzebe has revealed how Solskajer told him to keep in shape during his time indoors in a chat the two had at Carrington after United postponed their training sessions.
Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, the defender also revealed that he is in constant contact with his team-mates.
He said: “The manager sent me a message that just said: ‘Stay training and keep working and, we don’t know when we’ll be back, so we don’t want any surprises, because there are talks and rumours of how many games [within a condensed timeframe].’
“So just be healthy, stay fit and maintain good hygiene.
“The club has been very supportive and provided plans for training and nutrition to oversee this period and we do have group chats – FaceTimes, videos of us training.
“And we have our own Instagram page that we follow to sustain and keep up to date with what’s going on with the new training.

“We can reach each other, a bit of banter and stuff. So it’s good to have that camaraderie still going. We’re a close group, so the group chats are always flying every day.
“Everyone just chips in here and there, it’s more so now about training with a bit of competition, people putting in what they’ve been doing. So everyone’s chipping in and everyone’s getting involved, which is good.”
The Premier League season is currently postponed due to the Covis-19 crisis, and it remains to be seen if and when the campaign will eventually resume.
