Man Utd put Timo Werner and Moussa Dembele high on transfer wishlist as Solskjaer eyes huge squad overhaul

MANCHESTER UNITED are reportedly set to reignite their interest in top targets Timo Werner and Moussa Dembele this summer.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is set to be armed with a monster £250million war chest to completely overhaul his squad at the end of the season.

According to the Evening Standard, Werner and Dembele are at the top of United’s transfer wishlist.

The Red Devils were forced to reassess their attacking options after they missed out on Erling Haaland.

Werner has emerged as a top target after scoring 27 goals in 34 games for Bundesliga side RB Leipzig this season.

But the 23-year-old has also attracted interest from Liverpool, Barcelona and Bayern Munich.

He fuelled speculation that he will join Jurgen Klopp’s side when he unfollowed his own club on Twitter after they mocked Liverpool’s first loss of the season.

The Germany international has a £51m release clause in his contract if a deal is completed before April.

Dembele has emerged as another option for United – but they will have to fork out £84m to land the Lyon star.

He has scored 16 goals and made two assists this season, but club president Jean-Michel Aulas is willing to let him leave for the right price.

Chelsea are said to have made a £33.6m offer for him in January, but their bid was swiftly rejected.

The source also states that they have set their sights on England duo Jack Grealish and James Maddison.

And United are reportedly leading the race to sign Jadon Sancho in a Premier League record £100m deal this summer.
