MANCHESTER UNITED chief Ed Woodward has revealed he is in support of Liverpool winning the title as he backs the Premier League to finish no matter what.
The 2019-20 season is currently suspended after the outbreak of coronavirus – with talk of the whole campaign being voided.

Woodward has essentially given his backing to Liverpool winning the league
There will be no football before April 30 after a statement from all of English football’s governing bodies last week.
And with no end to the Covid-19 outbreak in sight, the season could be called off entirely, despite the season-ending deadline being extended beyond June.
But Woodward is in favour of essentially handing Liverpool – Man Utd’s biggest rivals – their first-ever Premier League crown.
According to the Athletic, the executive vice-chairman at Old Trafford hopes the season is allowed to be played to its completion – even if that means it runs well beyond the summer.
Liverpool are currently 25 points clear at the top of the Premier League table with just nine games to play.
Jurgen Klopp’s side need a maximum of two wins to finally break their 30-year title drought.
But Man Utd have reason to want the season to be finished, too.

The Red Devils have enjoyed a huge uptick in form since January, coinciding with the arrival of Bruno Fernandes and Odion Ighalo.
And with cross-town rivals Manchester City being hit with a two-year Champions League ban, the fifth-placed team from the 2019-20 campaign will go into Europe’s elite competition for next season.
Despite sitting 37 points behind Liverpool, United now sit fifth in the Premier League – with Wolves, Sheffield United, Tottenham and Arsenal hot on their tail.
