Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea part of five-way transfer battle for 15-year-old Celtic wonderkid Daniel Kelly

CELTIC starlet Daniel Kelly is reportedly at the centre of a five-way transfer battle as Premier League teams look to lure him south of the border.

The 15-year-old has been turning heads this season with scouts impressed by what they have seen from the teenager in various age levels.

According to the Glasgow Times, Kelly has starred for the Hoops in the U-15 side all the way to the U-18s.

And they claim that Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea are all interested in the youngster as they look to lure him to snare him away from Scotland.

They also add that both Leicester and Tottenham are keeping tabs on the highly-rated box-to-box midfielder.

Celtic are said to be desperate to keep hold of the player as they look to avoid losing him on a nominal fee.

Neil Lennon’s side were dealt a major blow last year when defender Liam Morrison departed Glasgow to join Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.

And the club are fearful that fellow academy star that Barry Hepburn could follow suit and become the latest British player to move to Germany.

In their bid to avoid Kelly from leaving, the Times have stated that Celtic have offered him terms on his first pre-professional contract.

Kelly was one of the standout players during the Sheffield Trophy where he and his team-mates finished as runners up to MLS side Seattle Sounders in the tournament.

The youngster is a student in the St Ninian’s High School programme – the same place that helped produced Gunners left-back Kieran Tierney.
