JUAN MATA has wished Bruno Fernandes a happy birthday by sharing a hilarious photo of his Manchester United teammate as a child.
The Portuguese midfielder turned 26 today but the image posted by Mata is a serious throwback.
Mata has gained a reputation for posting embarrassing photos of his United pals on their birthdays and Fernandes has become his latest victim.
Luke Shaw, Andreas Pereira, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford have all been on the receiving end of some not-so-subtle teasing from the Spaniard in the past 12 months.
Fans were overjoyed to see Mata continue the trend with Fernandes, who joined the Red Devils from Sporting Lisbon in January.
Although many of Mata’s followers were perplexed by how he could have found the picture of little Bruno.
“Where does he keep finding these pics?” asked one fan.
“Never change, Juan,” tweeted another.
“When a player joins, Mata calls their parents to ask for their pics,” hypothesised one supporter.
Another fan compared the photo of a young Fernandes to Harry Potter character Neville Longbottom.
Others were quick to warn new United signing Donny van de Beek he would be Mata’s next target.
Van de Beek moved to Old Trafford from Ajax in a £40million deal last week, but luckily won’t have to worry about a birthday message from Mata until April.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side play Crystal Palace at home in their first match of the new Premier League campaign on September 19.
