MANCHESTER CITY’S owners still hope to buy a NINTH club once the pandemic has passed.
A deal for City Football Group to bag French side Nancy was all set for completion in late March.

They were due to pay around £12.2million for the second-tier club but talks were put on ice after the lockdown.
Nancy President Jacques Rousselot said last week that he ‘was worried’ about the deal.
However, a City insider said: “We still hope to do it but it depends on how long the current situation lasts.
“It’s very much on ice at the moment.”
City Football Group’s first purchase was Man City in 2008.
Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan pumped millions into the club and they have since won four Premier League titles and two FA Cups.
The next club was MLS side New York City, announced as a new franchise in 2013.
A year, City Football Group bought Australian outfit Melbourne Heart and rebranded it Melbourne City.
Since then, Japanese side Yokohama F. Marinos, Uruguayan club Montevideo City Torque, Spanish outfit Girona, Chinese team Sichuan Jiuniu and Indian side Mumbai City have joined the ranks.
