Man City star Gabriel Jesus wanted by Juventus in £58.5m transfer along with Mauro Icardi as Sarri eyes strikers

GABRIEL JESUS is wanted by Juventus in a £58.5million move – and they would love him to link up with Mauro Icardi.

Brazilian international Jesus has not played as much as he would have liked this season, although he did start the 2-0 victory over West Ham on Wednesday.

With Sergio Aguero wanting a move back to Argentina when his current contract runs out in 2021, Pep Guardiola is keen to have Jesus learn from him before the Argentine departs.

The 22-year-old has scored nine times in his 22 Prem matches this season.

Guardiola has given him more of a look-in in the Champions League – and one incentive for Jesus to head to the Old Lady could be guaranteed European football.

Man City are, of course, facing a two-year ban from UEFA competitions.

Juve boss Maurizio Sarri is also looking to sign the Inter Milan striker Icardi, who is currently on loan at PSG.

Icardi looks to be unwanted in Antonio Conte’s side and PSG are not certain that they want to sign him permanently at the end of the season.

Icardi’s loan contract with the Ligue 1 champions does include an option to buy at the end of the season, with the Argentine’s fee being £58m.

Should PSG not make the Argentina star’s contract permanent, it is likely that Juventus will attempt a swoop for both Jesus and Icardi this summer.
