Liverpool’s title dream to be dashed with conspiracy theorists predicting APOCALYPSE on day they’re due to lift crown

LIVERPOOL’S title dream could be dashed after conspiracy theorists revealed the APOCALYPSE is set to strike Earth on the day the Reds are due to lift the trophy.

Thanks to the internet, we live in the weird and wonderful world of conspiracy theories.

The Mayans predicted the world would end in 2020

The Mayans predicted the world would end in 2020

And the latest to hit the web is that the world will end this year… this month, in fact.

According to one scientist, the ominous threat was predicted by the Mayans.

Originally we were told 2012 was their predicted date for the end of the world – but due to a calendar mix-up, the real date is in fact, 2020.

Scientist Paolo Tagaloguin explained: “Following the Julian Calendar, we are technically in 2012.

“The number of days lost in a year due to the shift into Gregorian Calendar is 11 days.

“For 268 years using the Gregorian Calendar (1752-2020) times 11 days = 2,948 days. 2,948 days / 365 days (per year) = eight years”.

THEY THINK IT’S ALL OVER…

Based on the calculations, the EXACT date of the apocalypse is scheduled for June 21.

Incredibly, that’s the day Liverpool fans across the world have pencilled into their calendars as the day they will FINALLY lift the Premier League trophy.

Of course, the odds on the world ending our outrageously slim – with Ladbrokes even pricing it up as a 1,000,000/1 shot.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “You’ve got more chance of bumping into Elvis in Tesco than the world ending this year.

But we’ll no doubt do our best to keep shops open for plucky punters to collect in a post-apocalyptic world…

“However the safer bet is almost definitely to back Man City to pip Jurgen Klopp’s men to the post this year at 80/1.”

The Reds, of course, have never won the Premier League, and haven’t won the top-flight for 30 years.

It’s been a long time coming and arguably no team has ever deserved it more, currently 25 points clear of Manchester City needing a maximum of two wins to seal the deal.

On top of that, they’re on course to break the all-time Premier League points tally.

But can Liverpool get themselves over the line before the end of the world?
