Lionel Messi tells Sergio Aguero off live on Twitch as he tells Man City star to ‘stop messing around and go see physio’

LIONEL MESSI told Sergio Aguero to “stop messing around” in an amazing live-stream telling off.

The Manchester City striker was pictured in a hospital bed last month after having emergency knee surgery.

Argentina forward Aguero, 32, hobbled out of City’s 5-0 win over Burnley last month with boss Pep Guardiola fearing the worst.

Aguero was promptly sent to the ‘Messi of medicine’ – Dr Ramon Cugat – for treatment – and to save his Champions League dream.

City – who recently had their two-year European ban overturned at the Court of Arbitration for Sport – take on Real Madrid in their second-leg clash on August 7.

Guardiola will be desperate to have Aguero back for that.

It seems Messi – who is second favourite to win a seventh Ballon d’Or – was equally concerned about his national team-mate’s recovery.

Aguero was on streaming service Twitch when he should have been seeing a physio.

Messi knew this and messaged Aguero, who read the text out live on air.

Aguero said: “Stop messing around and go see the physio.”

The Etihad star then went onto explain that he was still booked in for treatment and that it was the physio who was running late.

Aguero’s dad recently spoke about his boy’s recovery.

Leonel Del Castillo said: “He thinks it’s the meniscus, because if it were a more serious injury, the knee would feel different.

“He will have an MRI scan and then they will see the seriousness of the injury.

“After the surgery, we will be in Barcelona for five or six days and return to Manchester for recovery.

“He said he wanted to do it now to play in the Champions League.”
