The Dutchman will link-up with Mark Jackson’s Under-23 side and becomes the latest young arrival at the club during an active summer window.
Summerville spent last season on loan at ADO Den Haag.
He made 21 appearances in the Eredivisie where he scored two goals.
The youngster has been capped at youth level by the Netherlands at Under-16, 17, 18 and 19 level.
He follows highly-rated 18-year-old Cody Drameh in through the Yorkshire clubs’ doors as Marcelo Bielsa builds for the future.
Full-back Drameh signed a four-year to deal to join Leeds in an undisclosed fee.
The newly-promoted outfit also landed young striker Joe Gelhardt from Wigan.
The crisis-hit Latics had to let him go as they desperately tried to balance the books.
The striker was being chased by several clubs but Leeds managed to land him for £1million.

While last month to in-demand wonderkid Sam Greenwood arrived from Arsenal.
The 18-year-old signed on a three year contract – despite the fact Manchester United and AC Milan were interested.
And completing the set of youthful signings is Dani ven den Heuvel, a former Ajax keeper.
