COADY SPEAKS
n
n
Wolves captain Conor Coady spoke after his sides impressive 1-0 win against Leeds, he said: “Massive result for us, we knew how tough it was going to be. They were fantastic last year and we saw their performance against Man City.
n
“It’s about 100mph when you play them but we had a gameplan and stuck to it.
n
“We’d never come up against a Bielsa team before so it’s all about managing a game, looking at how the other team plays.
n
“It’s hard to get after them. It’s 100mph so you’ve got to play with your brain.
n
“Second half we knew we’d get a little bit more control, because they work so hard and would tire a bit, and we defended really well too.”
n”,”raw”:”

FT: LEEDS 0-1 WOLVES
n
Wolves came out fighting in the second half much like they did a lot of last season.
n
It really was Leeds’ game to lose, they could have been out of sight in the first half but they couldn’t beat Patricio.
n
Moutinho started to stamp his authority on the game early on in the second half and Wolves thought they had the lead with Saiss sending a half volley past Meslier.
n
It was wonderful play in the build-up and an even better finish, unfortunately for Saiss and co, VAR came to Leeds’ rescue and another tight offside call saw a wonderful goal chalked off.
n
The offside goal was the tone setter, Wolves could smell blood.
n
Jimenez started to come into his own in the second half and he popped up with a moment of magic.
n
He capitalised on Struijk’s slip on the right side of the penalty area, he cut back across the edge of the box THEN back onto his right foot before getting the shot off on goal which deflected off the head of Phillips and into the back of the net.
n
Leeds were the masters of their own downfall and they should have known how strong their opponents come out in the second half.
n
before tonight’s game, Wolves had lost just one of their last 19 PL games when level at HT (W7 D11).
n
Bielsa bringing on the returning Hernandez from injury and new boy Raphinha was too little too late as Wolves stood firm to secure all three points.
n”,”raw”:”
