Kylian Mbappe ‘open to Liverpool transfer’ but PSG superstar will set Reds back a staggering £253m

KYLIAN MBAPPE is ready to ditch Paris St-Germain and make a move to Liverpool.

French football guru Julien Laurens claims the PSG superstar could make the stunning move to Anfield as Liverpool close in on their first ever Premier League title.

However, he reckons Jurgen Klopp will have to pay a massive £253million for the privilege, with PSG extremely reluctant to sell their top asset.

Mbappe, 21, is already regarded as one of the best players in world football.

He’s scored 81 times in just 110 games for PSG.

And Mbappe also has a stack of trophies to match, including three Ligue 1 titles, one French Cup and the 2018 World Cup.

Reports suggest he is considering a fresh challenge at the end of the season.

And former Monaco teammate Fabinho recently revealed he would love Mbappe to join him at Liverpool.

Real Madrid are also believed to be keeping close tabs on the versatile forward.

However, it’s Liverpool who could be the more attractive of the two for Mbappe.

Laurents told ESPN: “It’s pretty simple. If Liverpool can pay the £253m, or £295m with bonuses, and put that on the table – which is what PSG will ask anyone to sign Mbappe.

“If Liverpool can afford that, plus give him the wages that he wants, he will consider that offer every day of the week.

“Yes, Real Madrid is his dream and one day there is a certainty that he will play at the Bernabeu.

“But he’s only 21 so there’s plenty of time for him to go and play in Madrid one day.

“The fact is that he also would like to play in the Premier League one day too.

“Liverpool is a very attractive proposition for any top player in the world right now with what they are putting together and the project of Jurgen Klopp.

“But again, if they can’t put that money down on the table for an offer, there’s no way he could go there.”

Liverpool could instead turn to other targets if they fail to land Mbappe.

It’s believed that Real Madrid’s Isco is an option for the Reds.

And Klopp is also keeping a close eye on Adama Traore after praising the winger’s display during Liverpool’s recent 2-1 win at Wolves.
