KYLE WALKER has joked he will fill the Etihad Stadium with a giant lasagne if the FA will not allow it at Wembley.
A viral WhatsApp voice message claimed the national stadium was going to be used to help feed the country during the coronavirus outbreak.
Kyle Walker shared the tweet with his 1.5million followers
The FA have since confirmed the 90,000-capacity ground will not be used to cook up the world’s largest lasagne.
But Manchester City defender Walker has come up with an alternative option.
He shared a photograph to his Twitter page of a ginormous lasagne that filled the entire Etihad stadium.
And he added the caption: “Well, if Wembley won’t do it…”
But his joke backfired as fans joked it was the only time they had seen the stadium looking full.
One said: “Every City player’s dream… a full stadium.”
Another added: “Only way they can get people to the Etihad!”
One Twitter user asked for some garlic bread on the side, while another pleaded for the stadium to be recalled the “Spaghettihad”.
Walker followed his tweet up with a message that urged his supporters to abide by the self-isolation rules.
It read: “On a serious note though, please everyone stay home, look after one another through this difficult time and check in on loved ones but don’t visit them.”
