And according to Bloomberg, Carla DiBello is helping Public Investment Fund’s potential acquisition with advice.

DiBello, 35, is thought to be working on the deal alongside British financier Amanda Staveley.

And if the deal does go through, she could even be kept on in an advisory role at the club.

One of DiBello’s four liked tweets on her Twitter page is about Bin Salman’s proposed takeover.

The American is a businesswoman and TV producer – as well as being good friends with reality TV star Kardashian West.

The pair worked together on Keeping Up With The Kardashians and DiBello was a guest at Kim’s wedding with Kanye West in 2014.

DiBello has also worked on Kourtney & Kim Take New York and a new documentary called Electric Kingdom, tracking Saudi Arabia’s first Formula E race.

Speaking about the project, DiBello told Arab News: “This was a project that I was so passionate about and I really fought to make because it was so important that I wanted my peers in the US to really see what I experience living in the Middle East.”

She set up a consultancy firm CDB Advisory in attempt to promote connections between the Middle East and North America.

And recent posts to her Instagram page show she has made visits to Saudi Arabia, with one photo captioned: “A shift is happening…. honoured to feel so welcomed in The Kingdom.”

DiBello wrote a column in 2016 – soon after relocating to Dubai – to explain what she does on a daily basis.

She said: “I have always found the question, ‘What do you do?’ hard to answer. It’s never a one line response.

“Take right now, for instance. I’m writing this during the week of the Dubai International Film Festival and I’ve just returned from a meeting in Abu Dhabi to discuss bringing in an $80million franchise film project.

“I’m leaving the opening of a new movie, still in total awe of the performance given by nine-year-old actor Jacob Tremblay.

“My phone is ringing non-stop. On one line, I’ve got boxer Floyd Mayweather calling from Italy, wanting to come see Dubai for a few days, and on the other line, I’ve got the biggest director and producer of virtual reality at RYOT Films, who is flying in from Los Angeles to speak at the film festival.

“I take these calls en route to an event showcasing Vianel New York, a brand I also represent.

“All the while, I’m mentally reworking my cycling schedule at the new Meydan track so that I don’t have to miss Arabic class, which meets four times a week.

“This is my everyday reality. But there was a time when all of this would have seemed like a dream.”

Ashley is yet to accept the offer to buy Newcastle and will not be pressurised into a quick decision.

The consortium, fronted by Staveley, is believed to be the only viable option to acquire the club, despite rumours of other interested parties.
