Jose Mourinho just 5/4 to be sacked BEFORE Christmas with Tottenham boss already under pressure after Everton loss

TOTTENHAM boss Jose Mourinho is just 5/4 to be sacked BEFORE Christmas after the opening day defeat to Everton.

Spurs were left stunned as Carlo Ancelotti’s men outplayed them to win 1-0 in north London on Sunday.

Tottenham looked devoid of energy and ideas as Everton dominated the ball through new signings James Rodriguez, Allan and Abdoulaye Doucoure.

And Ladbrokes has Mourinho down at 5/4 to be sacked by Daniel Levy before Christmas Day.

Labrokes’ Alex Apati said: “There’s no way Jose will be in charge of Spurs come the end of the season if results don’t improve.

“In fact we think he could well be sent packing before Christmas.”

Spurs are arguably under the spotlight more than any other Premier League side right now with their All or Nothing documentary currently streaming on Amazon.

They’ve made just two signings this summer in Southampton midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Wolves right-back Matt Doherty.

Reports now claim Mourinho is lining up a shock swoop for Crystal Palace flop Alexander Sorloth, who scored 32 goals for loan side Trabzonspor last season.

Reflecting on the defeat to Everton, the Special One branded his Spurs players “lazy” before admitting he was relieved the Amazon cameras were no longer there to capture his post-match message.

Mourinho blasted: “We were lazy in our pressing. That is a consequence of bad fitness, bad pre-season. Some players didn’t even have a pre-season.

“Some players had a wrong state of mind. I don’t want to speak about it – I’m not sure about it.

“It was too easy for them to play from back to front.

“Technically it was not so easy because some players didn’t have a pre-season for different reasons.

“We had two days with everybody. Two days before the game is not where you can work too much.

“I’m disappointed with my team. My message is inside [the dressing room].

“I’m so happy no more Amazon because these things can stay in between us.”
