Mum Rebekah revealed to Hello! magazine that hubby Jamie was “brilliant” while being “supportive and encouraging” during the birth as they revealed the first pictures of the tot.

The 37-year-old said: “He even tried to crack a joke about the epidural needle to take my mind off it and the painful contractions.

“I couldn’t wait to see the back of 2019.

“But with a new baby and a new year ahead of us, it’s like a fresh start.

“I’d been very ill with anxiety and stress and was panicking that she might be born on Christmas Day, while Jamie was training and I was on my own with the kids.

“The last thing I wanted was to miss Christmas Day with our children.”

Olivia Grace is the third child shared by the couple after Sofia, 4 and Finlay, 2, with Rebekah having two kids from previous relationships (Megan, 13 and Taylor, 9) and Jamie having one (Ella, 10) from his time with Emma Daggett.

During her pregnancy, Rebekah was involved in a very public spat with fellow Wag Colleen Rooney who accused her of selling stories from her Instagram to the press.

Following the birth of Olivia, Jamie shared the good news on Twitter by saying: “Over the moon to let you know our beautiful little girl has arrived. Becky and baby are both doing well and we are all totally in love with the newest member of our team.”

Jamie returned for Leicester for their 1-1 draw against Aston Villa, before having a goal disallowed by VAR in the Foxes’ 2-1 home loss to Southampton.

Vardy has scored 17 goals this season for Brendan Rogers’ side, who are third in the Premier League.
