Is Real Madrid vs Atletico on TV? Channel, live stream, kick-off time, team news and odds for Spanish Super Cup final

REAL MADRID and Atletico Madrid will battle it out for the Spanish Super Cup in Saudi Arabia.

Los Blancos guaranteed their place in the final, thanks to a 3-1 win over Valencia on Wednesday – which included a cheeky corner goal from Toni Kroos.

But Real Madrid will take on their local rivals, after ex-Chelsea flop Alvaro Morata and Angel Correa scored late on to beat Barcelona 3-2.

Atletico had qualified for this mini-tournament after finishing second in La Liga – but Zinedine Zidane’s side only got their spot due to finishing third in the league and Barcelona reaching last season’s Copa del Rey final.

What time does Real Madrid vs Atletico kick off?

This Spanish Super Cup final will take place on Sunday, January 12.

It will kick off at 6pm UK time – that is 9pm in Saudi Arabia.

The match will be held at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah.

What TV channel is Real Madrid vs Atletico on and can I live stream it?

Unfortunately, Real Madrid vs Atletico will not be shown live on UK television.

The Spanish Super Cup has already been hit with TV rights’ problems after Spain’s state-owned RTVE refused to bid to show the games.

Movistar will screen them live instead.

What is the team news?

Real Madrid will be without Marco Asensio and Eden Hazard, with the pair still some way off returning.

Karim Benzema will also miss out, but Gareth Bale will be hoping his illness goes away for the final.

Meanwhile, Atletico are without outcast Thomas Lemar and former Chelsea star Diego Costa.

Stat attack!

  • This is just the second time the pair will face in the Spanish Super Cup – Atletico won 2-1 on aggregate in 2014
  • Real Madrid have won 110 of their 222 meetings – with 56 draws and 56 defeats
  • Atletico Madrid have lost just once in eight matches against their local rivals – beating Los Blancos 7-3 in a crazy International Champions Cup last summer
