Inter plot triple transfer raid on Chelsea and Man Utd for Kante, Palmieri and Smalling as Conte eyes MORE Prem stars

INTER MILAN are reportedly planning a transfer raid on Manchester United and Chelsea this summer.

The Italian club’s boss Antonio Conte has set his sights on N’Golo Kante and Emerson Palmieri at his old club Chelsea.

And the 51-year-old is also eyeing Manchester United defender Chris Smalling, who spent last season on loan at Roma.

Italian newspaper Gazetta reports that Conte believes Smalling has the “experience” to help turn them into title-challengers next season.

And of course he worked with Kante and Palmieri during his two years at Stamford Bridge.

Conte has already raided the Premier League for Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez, Christian Eriksen, Victor Moses and Ashley Young.

And that could be boosted to eight players from these shores if he bags the next three.

Conte is also hoping to seal a deal for Hellas Verona defender Marash Kumbulla.

The 20-year-old has drawn admiring glances from around Europe with his displays in Serie A over the past 12 months.

Manchester United and Chelsea are both believed to have looked at the one-cap Albania international.

But according to Fabrizio Romano, Conte’s Inter have won the race for his signature.

Kumbulla has agreed personal terms with the Italian giants, with a five-year deal on the table.

Inter still have to settle a fee with Hellas Verona, however, before they can officially snap up the highly-rated defender.

A £23million asking price was reportedly demanded earlier this season.

But it remains to be seen if the coronavirus pandemic will have had an effect on this fee.
