Inter Milan midfielder Matias Vecino ‘agrees to join Everton’ after Man Utd transfer breaks down

EVERTON have reportedly made a move for Inter Milan midfielder Matias Vecino.

And it’s reckoned the 28-year-old ace is keen on a Premier League switch this month.

Gazzetta claims Carlo Ancelotti has come forward with an offer for Vecino, who was the subject of a failed approach from Manchester United just days ago.

The Red Devils attempted to take Vecino on loan for the remainder of the season after allowing Inter to sign Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez and Ashley Young.

But Inter are only interested in selling him permanently and are now set to do business with Everton instead.

It’s reckoned the Serie A title hopefuls are looking for £17million for Vecino, who has made 17 appearances during his third season at the San Siro.

Antonio Conte has preferred the likes of Nicolo Barella, Stefano Sensi, Marcelo Brozovic and Roberto Gagliardini in the centre of the pitch.

And Vecino is apparently keen to link up with Ancelotti at Goodison Park before the winter transfer window slams shut.

Everton had reportedly been looking at Juventus midfielder Emre Can.

But the former Liverpool man is valued at £30m and getting closer to a Borussia Dortmund switch.

Everton are also said to be interested in Brazilian star Everton Soares.

The Gremio winger was a target for Arsenal last summer before they landed Nicolas Pepe.

And he could cost a tasty £25m should Ancelotti decide to move now.
