INTER MILAN have made Kyle Walker a top summer target.
The Manchester City full-back, 30, has had a turbulent few months after breaching coronavirus rules four times.
Inter Milan have made Kyle Walker one of their top transfer targets for the summer
And the Serie A giants are ready to pounce in the hope a fresh start for Walker abroad could tempt him into an Italian switch.
England defender Walker started the 3-0 Premier League win over Arsenal at the Etihad on Wednesday night.
But City boss Pep Guardiola admitted he has spoken to the right-back about his behaviour during the lockdown which included hosting a sex party at his flat.
Walker issued a statement to explain his actions but City said they would launch an internal probe into the first incident.
Despite Inter’s interest, Guardiola’s City are in no rush to sell Walker, who has won two Premier League titles since his £50million move from Tottenham in 2017.
They will listen to offers for £60m Joao Cancelo at the end of the season – providing they can find the right man to come and replace him.
So Guardiola is unlikely to be in the market for two right full-backs in what they know will be a complicated summer transfer window.
That is one of the reasons why Walker – who only signed a new deal until the summer of 2024 this time last year – has been given another chance by the Spaniard.
However the hope was that Cancelo would put pressure on the England man for a regular first team spot at the Etihad and that challenge has not materialised.
With Inter boss Antonio Conte circling, Guardiola will hope that whoever they bring in will make Walker fight to keep his starting place.
Barcelona’s Nelson Semedo has been strongly linked with City – but their interest appears to have cooled in recent weeks.
Inter have enjoyed previous success with Premier League players in the market.
They’ve attracted Romelu Lukaku, Ashley Young and Christian Eriksen to the San Siro in the last 12 months alone.
