How Newcastle could line up with super strike-force of Cavani and Rondon… with Vidal in midfield post takeover

NEWCASTLE are on the verge of a destiny changing Saudi takeover and the new owners are ready to splash the cash.

The Toon will have the wealthiest owners in world football once their £300million takeover bid is completed and that could see Edinson Cavani, Arturo Vidal and former striker Salomon Rondon brought in.

Last Tuesday, SunSport revealed controversial owner Mike Ashley is on the verge of selling the Magpies for a knockdown sum to the group led by Amanda Staveley.

And the Toon’s wealthy new backers will pour cash in straight away to allow the club to immediately compete in the transfer market.

Since news of the takeover emerged, several big names have been linked with moves to St James’ Park.

Uruguay veteran Cavani is just one of the stars on the transfer shortlist with his deal at Paris Saint-Germain expiring this summer, according to ESPN.

The 33-year-old is braced to leave the French capital at the end of the campaign with club and player failing to agree a contract extension.

Their loss could be Newcastle’s gain with Cavani’s addition set to spark a new era at St James’ Park.

And latest Betfair odds show Vidal (5/1), Rondon (11/4) and McGinn (11/4) are the three favourites to be pulling on the black and white stripes next season.

Gareth Bale is also an outside shot at 6/1 given his out of favour status under Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid.

Rondon was a Geordie fan favourite in the 2018/19 season when he played on loan from West Brom before signing for current Chinese Super League club Dalian Yifang last summer.

The Magpies are also reportedly poised to raid Aston Villa with a £30m bid to land McGinn.

Boss Steve Bruce is prepared to splash the cash to be reunited with the midfielder, who he signed for his former club for a measly £2.5m back in 2018.

Former Juventus boss Max Allegri has been linked with a move to St James’ Park and Vidal will reportedly turn down Manchester United and pick Newcastle if the Italian gets the job.

SunSport also revealed Everton are targeting a summer swoop for Allan Saint-Maximin, but the Toon will surely be able to resist any attempts to sign their prized asset with an influx of cash.

And he could lineup alongside Matty Longstaff who SunSport exclusively revealed hopes to extend his stay at St James’.

At the back, goalkeeper Martin Dubravka has proven himself among the Prem’s elite while captain Jamaal Lascelles commands a spot in the line-up.

And a popular move for the new owners would be to make Danny Rose’s loan deal permanent after Jose Mourinho gave the left-back the green light to leave.
