How Everton could line-up with Gareth Bale, Aaron Ramsey and Mario Gotze as Ancelotti looks to break into top four

IT’S set to be another busy summer window for Everton as they look to break into the top four.

The Toffees have invested heavily in recent windows and have nothing to show for it – but that hasn’t stopped the club from being linked with a host of top quality players.

This is how Everton could incredibly line up should they secure their top targets

In the 2015/16 season Everton forked out over £81million on players, before spending an incredible £182m the following campaign.

A year later, the club’s majority owner Farhad Moshiri spent again over £80m, with this term’s total expenditure coming in at £109m.

The club have come eighth in each of the last two seasons, with their only top-four finish coming during the 2004/05 campaign.

But the ambition for Everton is to secure Champions League football – whatever the cost.

They finally have a world class manager in Carlo Ancelotti and the Italian legend will surely be able to attract top talent to Goodison Park.

Here SunSport looks at how the blue half of Merseyside could line-up next term in what would be a dream window.

TOFF NUT TO CRACK

England’s No1 Jordan Pickford is expected to keep his place between the sticks.

Seamus Coleman and Lucas Digne should still retain their full-back slots, but there could be a new centre-back pairing in the form of Yerry Mina and Gabriel.

Everton have been linked with a move for the Lille’s defensive linchpin and are said to be frontrunners in the quest to snare the 22-year-old away from Ligue 1.

And Andre Gomes could have a new central midfield partner in the form of Arsenal legend Aaron Ramsey.

Both he and his Welsh compatriot Gareth Bale have been linked with a sensational summer switch to Everton as both men eye regular starting places.

Should Bale start on the right flank, then Brazilian ace Richarlison would occupy the left wing role, and Gylfi Sigurdsson could drop to the bench if Everton secure their No10 target.

The Toffees are claimed to be rivalling West Ham for the signature of Borussia Dortmund playmaker Mario Gotze, with the German set to become a free agent.

Starting up top would be Dominic Calvert-Lewin, with the ex-Sheffield United striker thriving under Ancelotti and recently rewarded with a new five-year deal as a result of his fine form.
