GARETH SOUTHGATE is set to ring the changes for England’s clash against Denmark tonight.
The Three Lions boss is aiming for a trio of wins this international break after beating Wales in a friendly and Belgium in the Nations League last Sunday.
But he has risked a club vs country row with his use of Harry Kane and Eric Dier.
Kane was brought on as a second-half substitute against Belgium despite seeming to be short of match fitness.
Southgate claimed the Tottenham striker was merely complaining of muscle fatigue and defended his decision to use him.
The England manager is set to stick to his guns tonight and start the 27-year-old frontman – who SunSport told you got injured in training last week.
Dier, however, is a doubt after reportedly picking up a minor hamstring problem.
Kane’s Spurs team-mate played all 90 minutes of England’s 2-1 win over Belgium.
But news of his apparent injury will infuriate Jose Mourinho, who does not want to see any weakening of his squad amid Tottenham’s chaotic fixture list.
Wolves defender Conor Coady is set to replace Dier in defence.
Southgate will also have to plug holes for Ben Chilwell and Kieran Trippier.
Chelsea star Chilwell was sent away from the England camp yesterday with a ‘pre-existing foot injury’.
Kieran Trippier was also allowed to leave to attend a hearing in relation to his FA betting case.
Coming in to replace them is likely to be Chelsea’s Reece James, making his full England debut after a late call-up, with Southgate giving Trent Alexander-Arnold a rest.
Arsenal’s Ainsley Maitland-Niles is set to replace Trippier on the opposite flank, being given the nod over Gunners team-mate Bukayo Saka.
