Football fans warned to stay away from stadiums or Premier League WILL be forced to move to neutral venues

PREM fans have been warned that gatherings outside grounds WILL see the season forced to finish in neutral stadiums.

In a stark warning, sports minister Nigel Huddleston confirmed police have the power to disperse fans who ignore demands they stay at home when the League returns tomorrow night.

And Premier League boss Richard Masters added that League chiefs had “contingency” plans in place that would allow them to switch match venues at late notice.

Huddleston said: “Neutral stadiums come back on the cards if we can’t manage local crowds.”

Masters added: “If it occurs the progress made on neutral venues could be at risk. We have contingency plans in place.”

Yet fans have been aided in their efforts to stay at home following the news that Sky is expecting to cut free Premier League matches once football gets back to normal.

Top-flight football in England is finally set to return to our screens tomorrow, June 17, with Sky Sports screening the first two matches, although not for free.

BT Sport initially refused to offer coronavirus refunds, but later let customers claim one month worth of subscription costs.
