Henrique suffered the nasty injury during the first half of the crunch clash in Brazil.
It is reported that a Corinthians player accidentally stepped on his private parts after a tackle.
He initially left the field to change his white shorts as they were covered in blood.
But in the 39th minute he was hauled off the pitch and replaced by Gabriel Noga.
He was assessed by Flamengo’s medical staff in the dressing room – the bleeding did stop, but the medics are keeping a close eye on him.
A horrific image of his blood-stained shorts did the rounds on social media and one fan said: “I can literally feel the pain after seeing this.”
Another added: “Every man’s worst nightmare”

And one claimed: “That has to be the most painful injury ever”
But is it?
In January, Liverpool Women’s star Fran Kitching split her head open leaving her with a massive scar and black eyes.
Football has had its fair share of horror injuries, including David Busst’s sickening leg break.
Earlier this month, Colombia star Santiago Arias broke his leg and suffered ankle ligament damage after a collision with Venezuela ace Darwin Machis, who was left in tears.
The most infamous injury of the Premier League era is probably Alf-Inge Haaland’s broken leg after Roy Keane’s challenge in 2001.
In fairness, Manchester United players have also suffered, with Luke Shaw’s horror break against PSV in 2015 and, earlier in the century, Alan Smith snapped his ankle at Liverpool.

And it is not just footballers who have been badly hurt in the sporting arena.
Anderson Silva’s leg break against Chris Weidman in 2013 is probably the most famous injury in UFC history – and there have been quite a few!.
Cricket is thought to be a more genteel sport but try telling that to Craig Kieswetter, whose career was ended when a ball from David Willey got through his helmet grille and fractured his eye socket.
