And the alarm bells will have been ringing at the Emirates and Stamford Bridge as their ex-midfielder picked both Son Heung-min and Harry Kane in his XI.
Fabregas, now with Monaco, enjoyed his fair share of London derbies against Spurs during his career in England – winning ten, drawing eight and losing just five – but is now showing his love for the White Hart Lane pair.
In fairness, he is absolutely right to include the dynamic duo- valued at £20.6million together in the game and closing in on becoming a record-breaking partnership – right at the top of the standings so far this season.
Kane and Son both have 71 points, 13 more than anyone else in the league, with a combined tally of 14 goals and ten assists.
Third-placed Mo Salah, on 59, is also in Fabregas’ team – alongside Liverpool team-mate Alisson between the sticks following his return from injury.
Crucially, the World Cup winner has two Arsenal players but just one from Chelsea.
Gunners skipper and so-called midfielder Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang also has the armband in the FPL XI while Mohamed Elneny – enjoying a resurgence under Mikel Arteta – also gets the nod.
Kurt Zouma is the only man from Frank Lampard’s squad to make it – and understandably so considering he has 46 points this term, ten more than anyone other Blues player.
The Frenchman is the Blues’ top scorer with three league goals, level with Jorginho and Timo Werner.
He joins Brighton sensation, and Chelsea academy graduate, Tariq Lamptey – a transfer target for Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich – and Manchester City’s summer signing Ruben Dias in a back three.
Wolves goal machine Raul Jimenez and Leeds No9 Patrick Bamford have ten goals between them so far and flank Kane in a devastating attack for the two-time Premier League champion.
Fabregas has evidently gone for the all-out approach by saving cash on a budget bench.
Aston Villa reserve goalkeeper Jed Steer (£4m), defenders Bernardo of Brighton and Leeds youngster Oliver Casey (both £3.9m) and Crystal Palace midfielder Jairo Riedewald (£4.4m) complete Fabregas’ 15-man squad.
