Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti ready to hand Tottenham outcasts Dele Alli or Harry Winks January transfer lifeline

EVERTON are reportedly ready to hand Dele Alli an escape route out of Tottenham next month.

The 24-year-old attacker has been frozen out under Jose Mourinho this season in North London.

His five-minute cameo off the bench in Sunday’s 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace was only his third appearance in the Premier League this term.

He has not started for Spurs in the top-flight since he was hooked at half time in the opening day defeat to Everton.

Now the Daily Star claims Carlo Ancelotti is plotting a loan swoop for the ex-MK Dons star next month.

Whether Jose Mourinho sanctions the move to a potential top four rival remains to be seen.

French giants Paris Saint-Germain have already failed with three attempts to land the England international and are planning a fourth once the transfer window re-opens.

However, Alli is not the only Spurs midfielder on Everton’s radar.

The Daily Mirror reports Ancelotti is also looking into the possibility of getting Harry Winks if he fails in his quest for Alli.

Winks is also believed to be open to a temporary move away from north London, and the chance of working under Ancelotti could suit his international ambitions.

The ace, 24, is another player struggling for action under Mourinho, with the midfielder last appearing in the league back on October 18.

Ancelotti is believed to be a huge admirer of both men and would be happy to land either.

And he hopes the prospect of regular action and the opportunity to impress Gareth Southgate ahead of Euro 2020 could prove key to him landing one of them temporarily until the end of the campaign.
