Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti lines up £30m transfer bid for Juventus’ ex-Liverpool ace Emre Can

EVERTON are hoping to secure a £30million deal for Juventus’ fomer Liverpool midfielder Emre Can as Carlo Ancelotti looks to improve his squad.

Can, 26, has been told he is no longer part of Maurizio Sarri’s plans at Juventus and the Italian side are looking to make a significant profit on the midfielder.

The German international, who joined Juventus for £13million in 2018, is also wanted by Inter Milan, Manchester United and Tottenham.

Ancelotti is keen to improve his midfield after losing Andre Gomes to a long-term injury and the rest failing to make an impression on the Italian manager, the Mirror reports.

It would be a surprising move after Can left Everton’s bitter rivals Liverpool two years ago.

A move for the German midfielder would certainly boost the side that has under-performed this season.

Following a terrible start to the campaign, Marco Silva was sacked and replaced by Ancelotti.

With the potential signing of Can, Everton will be looking to offload some of their squad as the rebuild under the Italian manager begins.

According to reports, Oumar Niasse has been offered to Leeds United on loan until the end of the season.

Niasse would be the second forward to leave, following Cenk Tosun’s loan to Crystal Palace.

Everton have also been linked with a £25million move for Brazilian forward Everton Soares from Gremio.

The 2019 season saw the 23-year-old hit 15 goals along with seven assists in all competitions for Gremio.

The Italian is also looking to find a new goalkeeper with Jordan Pickford struggling for form this season.

Everton face Newcastle United at Goodison Park tomorrow night, with a win potentially moving them into the top half of the Premier League.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin secured a point for Ancelotti’s side on Saturday in a 1-1 draw with West Ham.
