Edinson Cavani wanted by Boca Juniors on free transfer this summer when PSG deal runs out with Inter Miami also keen

PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN star Edinson Cavani is a shock transfer target for Boca Juniors.

The Uruguayan is out of contract with the French champs in the summer, and is unlikely to sign a new deal.

That has unsurprisingly alerted a host of Europe’s top clubs to his availability.

Chelsea, Manchester United and Spanish side Atletico Madrid are all sniffing around the 32-year-old.

But according to El Pais, Boca could beat them all to it if they manage to “convince” the striker to play in South America.

He could link up with former Manchester United star Carlos Tevez at La Bombonera, with the club making moves to extend his contract.

Another club who could make their move for Cavani is David Beckham’s Inter Miami, who are desperate to get that marquee signing in their first season in MLS.

Former Man Utd striker Robin van Persie believes his old club should do all they can to snap up Cavani this summer.

The 36-year-old was asked on a social media Q&A which player Manchester United should look to land in the summer transfer window.

He replied: “Edinson Cavani, brilliant player and available #GoalMachine.”

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was in the market for a striker to fill in for the injured Marcus Rashford.

After missing out on a number of top targets, United completed a shock deadline day loan move for Odion Ighalo from Shanghai Shenhua.
