As the deadly bug continues to spread throughout Europe, the passionate Dortmund fans – known as the Suedtribuene – wanted to do their bit to help the community by providing a helping hand.
The supporters group released a statement on their website on Monday to inform others of their offer to assist as many of those in need as they can.
It read: “Good day everybody. Everyone knows about the current situation around the coronavirus, which is why we do not need to say any more words.
“It is much more about showing solidarity and assuming responsibility for society as a whole. Specifically, this means that we want to help people who currently belong to the risk groups mentioned.
“We are trying to help in the whole Dortmund area and that directly from tomorrow.
“In a time window from 11am to 5pm, we offer to take over your shopping or other courier services.
“Please only use this offer if you really belong to the corresponding risk groups or are currently in quarantine.
“Since we do not know how big the rush will be, we ask for your understanding that we cannot guarantee that every order will be completed.
“You will discuss everything else on the phone with the boys and girls personally.”
Like all of the major leagues across Europe, the Bundesliga is suspended until April 2.
The German top flight initially released a statement last week to say the weekend’s games would go ahead behind closed doors.
But then frantically changed their plan to bring the suspension in with immediate effect after a furious backlash from supporters and even players.
Bayern Munich star Thiago Alcantara slammed the decision to put the weekend’s matches on, calling the decision “irresponsible” and “crazy”.
In a tweet he later deleted, Thiago said: “This is crazy. Please stop fooling around and land on reality. Let’s be honest, there are much more important priorities than sport.”
