David Luiz booed before being sent off as Chelsea fans mock Arsenal star with ‘he’s one of our own’ chant

DAVID LUIZ had a nightmare return to Stamford Bridge after the blundering Brazilian was sent-off for Arsenal.

The defender was back at the Bridge for the first time since his summer move to London rivals Arsenal in the summer.

But after being showered with boos after every touch, Luiz’s night was about to get worse, before ending completely.

Following a shambolic back pass from unpopular Gunners defender Shkodran Mustafi, Blues striker Tammy Abraham was through on goal and went round keeper Bernd Leno.

Luiz took down the young English forward, conceded a penalty and was laughed at as he was shown red after 26 minutes.

The centre-back headed for an early shower but no doubt heard the familiar roar from the Chelsea fans as Jorginho converted the spot-kick to put the hosts 1-0 up.

Blues supporters were heard singing ‘David Luiz, he’s one of our own’ as the Brazilian aided Chelsea to an early lead and one man advantage.

The Samba star joined the Blues initially in January 2011 and won the Champions League, Europa League and FA Cup in his first spell.

But he moved to PSG for £50million in 2014 spending two seasons in the French capital before moving back to Stamford Bridge.

In Luiz’s second Chelsea stint he lifted the Premier League as well as another Europa League trophy.

But after former team-mate Frank Lampard succeed Maurizio Sarri this summer, the Brazilian was sold to the Gunners for just £8m.
