The teen midfielder has made three cup appearances this season as well as playing nine times in the Under-19s league.

But the San Siro saw the son of a legend make his league bow with the famous name on his back.

His dad Paolo, widely regarded as one of the game’s greatest defenders, made 901 for Milan – the only team of his career.

The versatile centre-back, who was also deployed as a left-back, won seven Serie A titles as well as five Champions League trophies.

Paolo’s father Cesare won four league titles and one European cup during his time at the San Siro, where he made 386 appearances.

Cesare, who died in April 2016 aged 84, also managed Milan on two occasions.

Despite Daniel’s brief cameo, Milan lost ground on the race for Champions League football.

Davide Faraoni opened the scoring for the visitor’s at the San Siro just 13 minutes in after he converted from a cross.

Milan levelled on the half hour mark as Hakan Calhanoglu’s free-kick took a deflection and sailed past Marco Silvestri.

The points were shared, however, as Zlatan Ibrahimovic was ruled out of the clash through illness.

Ibrahimovic joined Milan for a third time this season after leaving LA Galaxy and MLS, with the Swede scoring twice in Italy.
