Cristiano Ronaldo sunbathes topless in self-quarantine as Georgina Rodriguez goes shopping during Madeira lockdown

CRISTIANO RONALDO has been pictured looking in impeccable condition after he showed off his ripped physique while in self-isolation.

The Juventus forward is currently back in his native Madeira, where the 35-year-old is in lockdown with his four children due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

After his Old Lady team-mate Daniele Rugani tested positive for the deadly bug, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner is refusing to travel back to Italy as he remains with his family.

But despite being exposed to the infectious disease, the president of Madeira has confirmed Ronaldo has not contracted coronavirus as he remains in quarantine.

However that doesn’t mean that he is free from danger, as Madeira have been hit by two earthquakes in the last fortnight, with the most recent one happening on Sunday morning.

One of the main reasons the Manchester United icon returned to the island off the coast of Africa was to be close to his mother Dolores as she suffered a stroke.

With plenty going on around him, Ronaldo was caught basking in the sunshine as he showed off his incredible abs while his partner Georgina Rodriguez headed to the shops due to his self-isolation.

The five-time Champions League winner can relax in peace and tranquillity as his swanky pad boasts stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean.

Ronaldo sent a message of solidarity out on social media last weekend to those suffering from coronavirus, while also offering his gratitude to the brave doctors.

He tweeted: “The world is going through a very difficult moment which demands the utmost care and attention from all of us.

“I speak to you today not as a football player, but as a son, father, a human being concerned with the latest developments that is affecting the whole world.

“It is important we all follow the advice of WHO (World Health Organization) and the governing bodies on how we handle this current situation.

“Protecting human life must come above any other interests.

“I would like to send my thoughts to everyone who has lost someone close to them, my solidarity to those who are fighting the virus, like my team-mate Daniele Rugani, and my continued support to the amazing health professionals putting their own live at risk to help save others.”

On Tuesday, another of Ronaldo’s team-mates – French midfielder Blaise Matuidi – also tested positive for the virus.
