CRISTIANO RONALDO stands to lose out on £8.4million with Juventus set to be given the green light to cut player wages by up to 30 per cent.

Reports in Spain claim Serie A sides are on the bring of slashing player wages by between 20 and 30 per cent due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Should that happen, Ronaldo would lose around £8.4m in future wages, say Mundo Deportivo.

The Portuguese star, 35, boasts a net worth of around £361m, according to Forbes.

That tally is in no small part down to his monster £30m-a-year wages at Juventus – around £510,000 per week.

On top of that, Ronaldo has a £773million lifetime deal with Nike.

Ronaldo is comfortably the world’s most marketable player, earning more in endorsement deals than both Lionel Messi and Neymar.

But even still, the pay-cut will hit Ronaldo hard – as well as players across Italy.

Ever since Italy went into lockdown due to Covid-19, Ronaldo has sought refuge on his home island of Madeira.
