Having seen off ten-man Sweden 2-0, Ronaldo suggested games behind closed doors were “like going to the garden and not seeing flowers”.

So with Ronaldo already being the quickest player to 50 Serie A goals, he could be set for the last laugh on the Argentinian at club level too.
