COPENHAGEN will host a blistering Celtic side as the Europa League returns from a two month lay-off.

Neil Lennon’s side will be full of confidence as they travel to Denmark’s capital with a nine-match winning streak putting them ten points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership.

And now Celtic face a Danish side lacking match fitness having only played once – a defeat to Esbjerg – in 2020.

What time does Copenhagen vs Celtic kick-off?

Kick off is at 5.55pm UK time – that’s 12.55pm Eastern time.

The match will be held at the Parken Stadium.

What TV channel is Copenhagen vs Celtic on and can I live stream it FREE?

What is the team news?

Celtic will be without the injured Jack Hendry and Micheal Johnston for the first leg but the big issues lie with Copenhagen who will be down to bare bones on Thursday night.

Mohammed Elyounoussi and Boli Bolingoli made their return to action on Sunday whilst Celtic’s top scorer Odsonne Edouard will most likely lead the Celtic front line.

Meanwhile, the Danish outlet could be without six first team stars including former Middlesborough midfielder Victor Fischer.

Jonas Wind, Nicolai Boilesen and Robert Mudrazija all definitely ruled out whilst Jens Stage and Ragnar Sigurdsson are doubtful.

Stat attack!

  • The two teams last faced off back in 2006 with Celtic winning their home fixture 1-0 in the Champions League group stages before Copenhagen won 3-1 in the reverse clash
  • Celtic have not gone beyond the Round of 32 in the Europa League since reaching the quarter finals back in 2004
  • Copenhagen are looking to become only the fourth Danish club to reach the Europa League Round of 16

What are the odds?

Celtic are the favourites to beat Copenhagen at 29/20, but may need to score at least twice, with odds of just 20/23 for both teams to grab a goal.

The Danes are further back at 2/1 to win on home soil.

Yet, if you fancy a long shot, Edouard and Ryan Christie to score anytime along with a Celtic win gives you a price of 9/1.
