Stat attack!

  • This will be the fifth meeting between the two clubs and first since Chelsea lost in the Uefa Super Cup in 2013 – of which Frank Lampard played in
  • Robert Lewandowski has scored 38 goals in 31 matches in all competitions this season for Bayern Munich
  • The two managers are among the most inexperienced pair in top-flight football, with Lampard and Hans-Dieter Flick taking charge of a combined 41 first division matches in their careers

What are the odds?

Bayern Munich are heavy favourites to cruise past Chelsea at the Bridge, with odds of 3/4, while the Blues are 16/5 to beat the Germans in West London.

Lewandowski has been in sensational form this season, with ten goals already in the Champions League – and is just 14/1 to bag a hat-trick.

And in Bayern’s last visit to the English capital, they won 7-2 – and for another high-scoring affair, it is 18/1 for seven or more goals in the match.
