And, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, that has convinced him to leave Stamford Bridge next month.

The Blues board are keen for the academy graduate to secure regular first-team football.

West Ham and Newcastle are among several clubs that have been linked with a loan move for Tomori.

He came agonisingly close to signing for the Hammers during the summer transfer window.

But Tomori snubbed a loan move to West Ham just TEN MINUTES before the deadline.

The two clubs had agreed on a loan fee, but Tomori decided to fight for his spot at Chelsea.

Everton were also seriously looking at him in the summer before signing Ben Godfrey instead.

Tomori joined Chelsea as an Under-8 player before he progressed through the youth ranks.

Since joining up with the senior squad in 2016, he has been shipped out on loan three times.

He has enjoyed spells with Brighton, Hull City and Derby County.

As well as offloading Tomori, Chelsea look set to get rid of Antonio Rudiger in January.
