Chelsea star N’Golo Kante wanted by Inter Milan and Conte could flog Christian Eriksen to fund £46m transfer

INTER MILAN are reportedly keen on a £46million move for Chelsea star N’Golo Kante.

Corriere dello Sport claims Antonio Conte is dreaming of a raid on his former club for the World Cup-winning midfielder, 29.

And the tactician is even willing to sell ex-Tottenham ace Christian Eriksen, 28, who has flopped since his Italian switch at the start of the year.

Conte signed Kante for Chelsea in 2016 from Leicester for just £30million.

And together they won the Premier League title and FA Cup.

Inter boss Conte is already on the verge of signing Arturo Vidal from Barcelona, having relied heavily on the Chilean for three Serie A titles at Juventus.

And he now wants Kante to join Vidal and Italy international Nicolo Barella in a new-look midfield.

Kante, who has also been linked with Manchester United, has struggled to adopt to Frank Lampard’s tactics.

And it’s believed Chelsea are targeting a move for West Ham anchorman Declan Rice before next month’s transfer deadline.

However, the Blues are thought to value Kante at £46m.

Inter do not have that kind of money after being badly affected by coronavirus.

But Conte is ready to sell Denmark international Eriksen, who has failed to become a first-team regular after a £15m switch from Spurs in January.

The former Italy boss is also open to selling Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozovic.

But neither he or Eriksen have attracted any interest so far this summer.

As a last resort, Conte could listen to offers for centre-back Milan Skriniar and forward Lautaro Martinez.

He would prefer to keep the pair, but knows Paris Saint-Germain are interested in Skriniar while Barcelona are desperate to sign Martinez for big bucks.
