Chelsea flop Kepa is the WORST in the Premier League – and is ranked 127th out of 132 goalkeepers in the WHOLE of Europe

KEPA ARRIZABALAGA has been exposed as one of the worst keepers in Europe when it comes to save percentage.

The Chelsea No1, who has made 84 appearances for the Blues since joining in 2018, has failed to establish himself as one of the very best in England.

And now new statistics released following Frank Lampard’s side’s dismal 1-0 defeat to Newcastle show Kepa to have the worst save percentage in the Premier League and one of the worst in Europe.

UtdArena posted: “55.4% — Kepa Arrizabalaga has the worst save percentage of any keeper in the Premier League.

“127th — Out of 132 keepers from Europe’s top seven leagues Kepa ranks 127th in save percentage. £72m.”

The 25-year-old Spaniard’s attitude was questioned last season when he refused to be substituted in the League Cup final, leaving then manager Maurizio Sarri fuming.

And his form has fallen away over the past 12 months, in particular in recent times which have seen Chelsea keep just two clean sheets in the league since November 9.

It leaves Kepa’s first-choice status in the team up for debate given Willy Caballero is looking on ominously from the bench.

Back in December, it was reported Lampard was looking for a replacement for Kepa and hoped to strike a deal in the January window.

Blues legend Petr Cech is the current technical and performance advisor at Stamford Bridge, and will work to help the club improve their squad in January.

But it cannot be denied the stats are damning as Chelsea look to cling onto their fourth place and secure Champions League football next season.
