CHAMPIONS LEAGUE football will be back on TV soon – as Uefa join the retro approach to giving fans their fix.
The European governing body is going to open up its archive of classic matches for free and make them available on the same schedule as if Covid-19 had not halted football.

So Champions League games will be shown on UEFA.tv on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with Europa League clashes on Thursdays.
Uefa will also make available the best action from the European Championship, the women’s Euro and the women’s Champions League.
There will also be Q&A sessions with legendary players and other content to fill the hours as supporters around the world find themselves at home under lockdown conditions.
The matches and other features will be available on Apple TV, Android TV and Amazon Fire TV, as well as Uefa’s own platform and apps.
Match of the Day will also be back on our screens this weekend after it was controversially replaced by Mrs Brown’s Boys.
Football Focus will be on from noon on Saturday – which will feature Dan Walker showing some of the best interviews from the season so far.
At 4pm, Guy Mowbray will be the face of an FA Cup quarter-final classics series.
Following that, Gary Lineker and his team of pundits will return for a video edition of the Match of the Day.
