CELTIC are on course to rise nine places in Uefa’s five-year club ranking — even before this week’s last 32 encounter against FC Copenhagen.
Neil Lennon’s Hoops would have been hoping to grace the Champions League group stage this season but they have still managed to win ten continental matches.

As it stands, that is enough for 9.00 co-efficient points.
This is a tally which puts them 28th in the overall co-efficient table for the campaign, putting them on a par with big guns like Inter Milan, Manchester United and Barcelona.
And it would see them rise from 46th to 37th in Uefa’s overall five-year table.
This is all-important when it comes to gaining seeded draws in the continent’s competitions during the next campaign.
In Uefa language, club co-efficients are used “to rank individual clubs, for seeding in the Uefa Champions League, Uefa Europa League” as well as the soon-to-be-introduced Uefa Europa Conference League.
The points gained this season are tallied with the results of the previous four seasons to calculate the overall coefficient.
Celtic’s Glasgow rivals Rangers are also making headway in the co-efficient table.
As it stands, ahead of their Europa League clash with Braga, they would go into the 2021 rankings with a total of 12.250 coefficient points.
This would be enough to see them rise from 112th in the Uefa rankings to 95th although the picture could still improve further.
Courtesy of famous wins against the likes of Feyenoord and Porto, they have racked up 7.00 points already this season.
This is a tally which is the same as AS Roma, Club Brugge and Olympiakos this season.
Set to replace a zero score from season 2015-16 when it comes to Uefa’s official co-efficient ranking during the next campaign, it is another sign of the club’s re-emergence on the European stage.
A combination of both Glasgow rivals’ efforts means that Scotland, as it stands, will start 14th in Uefa’s national association co-efficients.
Again, however, this picture could change depending on each countries’ teams performances in the latter stages of the Champions League and the Europa League league.
