BOURNEMOUTH are lining up Peterborough’s Ivan Toney to replace Manchester United target Josh King.

Cherries’ striker King looks increasingly likely to leave the south coast this summer, having been linked with a £25million move to Old Trafford in the January transfer window.
Struggling Bournemouth, regardless of which division they are in, would then have the money to land Toney even though he could cost up to £13m.
Toney, also being watched by Burnley and Middlesbrough, has scored 46 goals in 91 appearances – including one in Saturday’s 4-1 win at Ipswich – since moving from Newcastle for just £350,000 in the summer of 2018.
And he still hopes to help Peterborough up to the Championship as they are currently third in League One.
FRUSTRATED KING
Meanwhile, King reportedly feels frustrated at United failing to follow up their interest with a firm bid on Friday’s Deadline Day.
The Norway star, 28, was ready to journey up north to complete a deal if Old Trafford chiefs launched serious negotiations with Bournemouth, according to The Athletic.
King was keen for another stab at such a big club after joining United’s academy in 2008 before joining Blackburn five years later after just two senior appearances.
His contract ties him to the Vitality Stadium until 2021.
But he is currently out after suffering a hamstring injury on December 28, having notched three goals and two assists in 16 Prem games this term.
He watched the Cherries move out of the drop zone on Saturday as they leapfrogged Aston Villa with a 2-1 home win.
