BOCA JUNIORS have confirmed their intention to “fight” the free transfer of teenage star Santiago Ramos Mingo to Barcelona.
The Catalans have already announced the capture of the 18-year-old on a three-year contract with a £50million release clause.

But his former club Boca are furious with the training compensation they have received via Fifa guidelines.
Having signed the centre-back as a 14-year-old, the Argentine club were yet to hand him a senior debut and are due less than £250,000, according to Olé.
Barcelona can claim that Ramos Mingo did not have a professional contract with Boca and was therefore free to move clubs, having recently surpassed the legal age threshold for such a move across the Atlantic.
But Jorge Ameal, president of Buenos Aires team, has vowed to strive for more.
He told La Oral Deportiva: “I can’t believe how anyone said that he could go to Barcelona.
“We don’t receive a peso, but we are going to fight it.”
It is reported that the player’s transfer will not be reversed and that Boca are focusing their efforts on a sell-on clause being tagged onto Ramos Mingo’s exit or further training compensation.
That is because they say the teenager was registered with the team and received a salary, medical costs and accommodation – adding up to outweigh their remuneration.
Amal spoke last month to express his outrage at the highly-rated youngster becoming out of contract in the first place.
He told Radio La Red: “Someone didn’t give him a contract; when the players are different, they are different.
“As soon as [his exit] happens, we are going to set up a committee and we are going to sanction those who had a hand in this. Because the boy had to have a contract.
“Legally we are in a position to state that the player is ours, in line with FIFA regulations, and our lawyers are working on this.”
